The Community Grocer runs weekly affordable fresh food markets to support healthy connected communities. We run 5 markets across Melbourne, in Carlton, Fitzroy, Fawkner, Fawkner & Pakenham. Everyone is welcome, and more than 34,000 customers have purchased our delicious fresh produce since our first market in 2014.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

An opportunity is now available for a community-minded person to join The Community Grocer team in the role of Fundraising Coordinator.

The hours are flexible, working at your chosen location, approximately 1-2 hours per week.                 

POSITION OBJECTIVES

The Fundraising Coordinator will be responsible for investigating opportunities to raise funds for TCG.

You will be responsible for researching suitable grants and keeping the Operations Manager up to date with current grant openings using a database; helping to organise fundraising events; and putting forward ideas for other fundraising and promotion activities, including by building and strengthening community partnerships and networks.

Preferred experience/skills:

  • Fundraising activities for a social enterprise, Not-for-Profit, community group, or similar.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
