New market in Richmond
On February 26th we launched a new market on the North Richmond Housing Estate.
We had a team of 14 wonderful staff and volunteers, who worked together to serve over 100 customers.
It was great to have Fatuma and Ali selling delicious sambusa and cakes, along with Steve from Cultural Catering generously providing hot drinks to the market team and attendees.
The launch finished with a ceremonial watermelon sharing. A welcome refreshment to end a warm and busy morning. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate.
The celebration was supported by North Richmond Community Health, NEPHU, BANH inc, The Salvation Army, DFFH, VicHealth The Learning Bank, Gabrielle De Vietri and City of Yarra.
